Jerusalem Hollow Cup | Mayfest! | Pub Crawl | Saints Ball | Wine & Cheese Night | End of Season Trip

Each pre season, the Perth Saints top Masters side and the top Social side battle it out on the pitch for the ultimate in bragging rights for the next twelve months.

David Deakin founded the Cup in 2005 and tragically passed away on the eve of the 2007 match after suffering a fatal heart attack. Now the game is a fitting tribute to a Saints favourite son who left us before his time.

February 18, 2007 will go down as a defining moment in Perth Saints history when we lost one of the greatest characters to ever grace the club. Such was both the young and old players fondness for the Masters stalwart, he decided to buy a trophy and name it after himself with the winner between the top Masters side and top Social side to hold aloft the Deaks Cup.

The Social lads won the first match on penalties and the second instalment 2-1 before the tragic death of Deakin spurred his Masters friends on to win the Cup for the first time in 2007.

The Deaks Cup is now an annual tradition during pre-season with the boys using the fixture as a curtain raiser before the league action begins. The day is a fitting memorial to the memory of David Deakin, a true Perth Saints club Legend and great mate.

The table below lists all the Deaks Cup results:
