JONES FEARS CONFIRMED AS SURGERY BECKONS

The worst fears of the Saints family were confirmed today as 2007 Social South One Players Player of the Year Mika Jones revealed he needs to go under the surgeons knife to repair his damaged knee.
Jones has been out of action since the opening Cup game on April 6, the whole hearted defender injuring his knee when challenging for a ball.
The Saints Mr Popular has since been on crutches and was not able to get the knee scanned until last week due to the swelling. After consultation today with his doctor, Jones was handed the news that he was dreading; surgery will be the only option to repair the damage.
Jones will be aiming to go under the surgeons knife sometime in the next two or three weeks and faces a rehabilitation period of a minimum of 12 weeks. Any participation in the remainder of the season looks doubtful for the highly rated defender.
It has been an absolute gutting time for Jones as he came off the highs of his debut 2007 year, taking out the PPOFTY award and an even greater off field role in season 2008.
All of the Perth Saints family wish Mika well during his upcoming operation, and a speedy recovery that get's him back on his feet as soon as possible.
