KNEE INJURY TO SIDELINE SOCIAL DEFENDER

Popular Saints South Division One defender Mika "Michael" Jones is facing an uncertain stint on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in his sides Soccer Pools Social Cup loss to Forrestfield United on Sunday.

The versatile defender went down in heap after chasing a ball down and had to be stretchered from the ground in obvious pain.

Jones' knee is still too swollen to receive a definitive diagnosis, however it would seem the best possible scenario would see him our for about four weeks. It is a cruel blow for Jones who was primed for another big season after taking out the Players Player award in 2007.

The Saints family wish Jones a speedy recover and hope to see him back in a Saints shirt soon.
